Yes, the xplore mobile app is completely free to download and use to find and connect with independent businesses and discover new places.
There is a small Top-up Fee every time you top up your wallet. It's the same whether you top up £10 or £50. It saves independent businesses thousands of pounds in transaction fees but you also quickly earn it back in cashback from xplore businesses through cashback.
how do I pay using xplore?
First make sure you have added money to your wallet then tell the business you would like to pay using xplore.
Press the wallet button in the xplore app. Show the business your QR code which the business will scan.
After your QR has been scanned, simply confirm the amount and which balance you would like to pay from on the merchants terminal, the payment will be processed and you'll see your balance(s) change accordingly.
You can choose to pay using any gift cards you may have or redeem cashback against your purchases. Simply do so before pressing the Pay Now button.
Payments are processed instantly and you can see all your transactions, cashback and gift card balances in your wallet.
how does cashback work?
Earn cashback as a percentage of every xplore payment made with a business offering cashback as a percentage of your purchase.
Cashback values are set by the businesses themselves and may vary day-to-day or week-to-week. Watch out for offers by connecting to your favourite business.
To see your cashback balance simply go to the wallet tab where your cashback value is displayed.
