Society Cafe - Kingsmead, Bath
Less a coffee shop, more a lifestyle concept, Society Café has to be one of Bath’s most loved and widely raved about indies. Located on the corner of Kingsmead Square it provides the perfect place for people to meet, work, eat and most importantly, drink deliciously good coffee.
Owners Jane and Adrian have created a space in which everyone can do their own thing. Step foot through the door, log into the free wifi, browse one of the magazines or art books, socialise, or let your children enjoy the chalk boards where they can draw and colour while you simply relax and unwind. The crowd here can’t be stereotyped. What they do have in common though is an appreciation for great service and exceptionally good coffee. Sourced directly from coffee farms all over the world to ensure fair trade for all involved, the house coffee changes four times a year, with guest coffees and aeropress always made available. With the coffee being the star of the show its no wonder that just as much thought goes into all of their offerings. Loose leaf teas are carefully sourced from tea traders in Bath and the food, ranging from cakes to light sandwich lunches, are made locally and delivered daily. The staff are friendly, helpful and exceptionally knowledgeable - fair to say, we understand the hype.
