Assembly
Moving away from the London life where Anthony worked in fashion design and buying, Frome has now become his home where his menswear shop, Assembly, is a reflection of his personal style. Beginning his journey with Assembly as a lifestyle store, he found that many of his customers held the same values for high quality, locally made fabrics as he does. This set the tone for his buying ethos, incorporating his passion for sustainable, British fashion brands. Though his range isn’t exclusively British, he ensures every item has been sustainably sourced, ethically made and incredibly high quality.
Focussing on the craft and production of each item, Anthony champions the traditional fabrics and methods from Britain’s fabric manufacturing heritage. He supports their production and takes a hands on approach to buying, by visiting the factories and mills which create clothing designed to last a lifetime. Stocking British labels such as Universal Works, Kestin Hare and Peregrine, Anthony uses his knowledge, network and experience to ensure he supplies the very best of every brand. The shop itself is warm and welcoming, with stylish industrial decor and inviting displays for you to explore. Take your time at each rail and you can really get a feel for the time and work which has gone into every piece.

About
Frome
The picturesque market town of Frome lies in the heart of Somerset, surrounded by vast swathes of open farmland, chalky ridges, undulating hills and valleys and generally stunning scenery at every turn. Explore the many cobblestone streets lined with an eclectic mix of independents and you’ll find everything from interior decor, quirky antiques and vintage clothing stores to children’s boutiques, florists and cafes.
On the first Sunday of each month between March and December, the streets of Frome become a pedestrian playground and the town welcomes a pop up community of producers, crafters and makers. Stroll through hundreds of stalls celebrating the best from local producers at the farmers market on Stony Street or the artisanal trinket filled suitcases and prams at the “suitcase sale” on top of Catherine Hill. This unique market celebrates the independent movers and shakers in the South West and draws thousands of visitors each year.
