Brand Marketing Manager

the role:

As our Brand Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for building and amplifying xplore’s presence across Bath, Bristol and beyond, crafting and implementing strategies that elevate our brand’s visibility, engage our audience, and support our goal to drive meaningful change through local spending. You will lead our brand marketing efforts from concept to execution, developing campaigns that resonate with our target market, drive engagement, and increase our user base. Working closely with our founder, ambassadors, and partners, you will play a vital role in positioning xplore as the go-to platform for discovering and supporting local independent businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Strategy & Development:
    Develop and execute a brand marketing strategy that aligns with xplore’s mission, values, and growth objectives. Strengthen xplore’s brand identity, ensuring it is consistently represented across all channels and marketing materials.
  • Campaign Planning & Execution:
    Plan, manage, and execute integrated marketing campaigns that increase brand awareness and user engagement. These may include digital, social media, influencer, and experiential marketing efforts focused on showcasing xplore’s impact in local communities.
  • Ambassador & Partnership Collaboration:
    Collaborate with ambassadors and high-profile partners (e.g., Jason Fox and Josh Eggleton) to co-create impactful campaigns. Manage relationships with brand ambassadors, influencers, and community partners to amplify reach and engagement.
  • Content Creation & Management:
    Oversee the creation of compelling and authentic content that showcases xplore’s value to independent businesses and consumers alike. Work with creative teams to develop high-quality content for social media, email, web, and print.
  • Event Marketing:
    Support and drive the promotion of xplore-exclusive events, including local meetups, ambassador events, and larger scale gatherings, to build community engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Social Media & Community Engagement:
    Develop and manage a social media strategy that reflects our brand values and engages our audience. Monitor and respond to user feedback on digital platforms, maintaining a positive and interactive brand voice.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting:
    Use data-driven insights to track and evaluate campaign performance, and apply learnings to future brand initiatives. Regularly report on KPIs, providing actionable insights to inform marketing decisions.

  • Experience & Skills:
    • Proven experience (5+ years) in brand marketing, preferably in a start-up or fast-growing company
    • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, social media, content creation, and community engagement strategies
    • Experience managing influencer and partnership marketing campaigns
    • Familiarity with event marketing and working with ambassadors or brand advocates
