Situated at the southern edge of the New Forest and the north shores of the Solent this beautiful Georgian market town can also boast a port on the west bank of the Lymington river. You’ll also find two large marinas and two sailing clubs that make this a world renown sailing resort and further still an open-seawater bath that was built in 1833 (a rare find these days!) Keeping true to it’s origins you’ll find a traditional street market held every Saturday on the high street which also has a number of independent shops selling everything from local fine foods to craftwork and antiques. At the bottom of the high street you’ll come to the pretty cobblestone streets that lead you down to the old town quay where you can watch the fishing boats come and go.
